I know this is my third blog post about the 2012 Vancouver International Children’s Festival but playing two sold out shows at the festival last week was one of the real highlight of my career so far.
I think most people of my generation, and those that came after, who grew up in Vancouver have fond memories of going to the VICF. It was always a highlight for me, and getting to participate in the festival as a performer and a dad this year is something I will remember for a long time. As a performer, playing the Soundstage tent was great fun. The sold out audiences were dancing and singing the whole time and their excitement really got me and the band going! As a dad I had so much fun taking Ella to all the activities on site and seeing her reaction to all the fun around her was priceless.
The festival also marked the release of the release of my new DVD “Will’s Jams”. Many folks picked it up after my shows, and if you’d like to get a copy or you’d like to download digital copies of the videos, you can order them here. If you like to see the trailer first check it out here.
Here are some photos from my shows at the festival.
For all of you who made it out to these shows, thank you for sharing in this very special moment with me. For the rest of you, I look forward to seeing you out at a show soon!
